In 2012 Viki Scherer was one of six women in the state of Illinois approved as a speaker for Stonecroft Ministries which is an international ministry with the mission to impact women and their communities with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Since that time she has spoken in nearly 100 cities for Christian Women Connection groups that are under the direction of Stonecroft Ministries. She shares about her journey of faith and her husband’s battle with ALS, Lou Gehrig’s disease.
Viki has also shared her story in churches, at women’s banquets and meetings, PEO Sorority, Women’s Aglow, ROMEO Club (Retired Old Men Eat Out), Grief Support Groups, MDA Support Groups for ALS, AMBUCS, Library meetings and at Hoofprints for Christ—a Horse Riding Club.
In addition she has prepared power point presentations on Israel including “A Trip to Israel” and “Israel, Past, Present and Future and Biblical Prophecy Fulfillment.” Her beautiful pictures contrast modern Israel with the archaeological sites which authenticate the Bible. “’I will plant Israel in their own land, never again to be uprooted from the land I have given them,’ says the Lord your God.” Amos 9:15
The Prophet Isaiah said in Isaiah 6:8, “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here am I. Send me!’” In Hebrew the expression “hineni” means “here am I” and can be found in many parts of the Bible to express devotion and readiness to be close to God. Viki has answered the call to be sent and looks forward to the future speaking engagements as God opens the door for outreach.
